The Ashanti Regional Police Command has cautioned motorists against parking in unauthorized areas or attempting to drive through designated roadblocks during the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Delegates Conference at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
According to the Command, MTTD personnel will be stationed at strategic locations to direct motorists and enforce traffic management arrangements on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
The Police said towing trucks will also be stationed at designated points to remove wrongly parked or abandoned vehicles to the KMA Yard at the owners' cost.
The Command in statement signed by Head of Public Affairs Superintendent Godwin Ahianyo on Thursday urged all motorists, delegates, party supporters and members of the public to strictly comply with road closures, traffic diversions, parking arrangements and instructions of the Police.
The public is further advised to plan their journeys in advance, use designated alternative routes and avoid unauthorized parking around the event area.
The Command stressed that it will not permit unauthorized access, parking or obstruction of designated routes and appealed for the full cooperation of all motorists and the general public.
This, according to the Police, will ensure safe, orderly and uninterrupted traffic movement and the peaceful conduct of the event.
The Command concluded by appreciating the public's cooperation and understanding, while regretting any inconvenience the temporary traffic arrangements may cause.
