Four killed in crash on Accra-Kumasi Highway

Four people have died in a road crash involving a Toyota Voxy and a MAN Diesel trailer at Anyinasin Junction on the Accra-Kumasi Highway.

The accident occurred in the early hours of Monday, September 28, 2026.

The Bunso Fire Station received a distress call at 5:21 a.m. and arrived at the scene 14 minutes later with a seven-member crew. Firefighters worked to rescue trapped occupants, secure the area and control traffic.

The Toyota Voxy, with registration number GR 9430-26, was severely damaged in the collision, while the MAN Diesel trailer, registered GS 4064-26, also sustained damage.

One male victim was rescued from the wreckage and conveyed to the Kibi Government Hospital for medical treatment.

However, four other occupants — three males and one female were pronounced dead at the scene.

The police have commenced investigations to determine the circumstances that led to the crash.
