The Bono East regional minister Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi has embarked on a day’s inspection tour of the Atebubu-Amantin municipality as part of a three-day visit to the eastern enclave of the region to see at first hand developments in the region.
The minister inspected work on a 65% complete 6-unit classroom block at Bresuano where he expressed dissatisfaction with the slow pace of work and admonished the contractor to expedite work to ensure he meets the timeline for completion.
At Masuo 44, the minister expressed concern on the quality of work on a 75% complete CHPS compound and made some suggestions for the consideration of the contractor.
He promised to liaise with the Member of Parliament for the constituency Hon. Sanja Nanja to get the road leading to the community fixed to make for easy access to the facility.
The minister expressed satisfaction with the quality of work on a two-storey GETFUND sponsored administration block at the Amantin senior high school.
He also visited the Amantin English and Arabic junior high school where he inspected a newly completed 3-unit classroom block.
At the 24-hour economy market in Amantin, the minister expressed dissatisfaction with the slow pace of work and asked both the consultant and contractor to ensure work is completed on schedule.
He indicated his satisfaction with the quality of work on a 2000 capacity GETFUND sponsored dining hall and kitchen facility at the New Kokrompe senior high school.
The minister visited the Atebubu College of Education for similar purposes and rounded up the tour with an inspection of the refurbished office block of the municipal assembly.
With the minister was the Bono East regional engineer Mr. Ismaila Karim Amadu and Mrs. Beatrice Kwarteng the regional development planning officer.
The team was accompanied by the Atebubu-Amantin municipal chief executive Hon. Masud Musah Ayarba Thomas and high-ranking officials from the municipal assembly.
