The United Nation General Assembly technically the biggest platform of which any global leader voice can be head loud and clear hence the need president Trump and his team takes it as such make the necessary and adequate preparation towards it for addressing the assembly is the most important of all during the head of state and governance gathering as it's the apex decision making body of the organization. And all eyes would be on US and its president as the unipolar superpower and leader of global affairs be it funding and other resources contribution hence the need

Mr. President Rahman, it's a great honour and privilege as the 45th and 47th president of the United States of America to again address this General Assembly for the second term. In my second term in office, I would like to use this opportunity to congratulate you, Khalilur Rahman of Bangladesh, on your election as the presiding president of the 81st Session, and the outgoing UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, whose term ends in December, which brings us again to the question of who takes charge as the next Secretary-General of the United Nations

Mr. President, it is incumbent upon all of us here in this August house to get involved in making sure we get another Secretary-General who, if not to maintain the standards set by Guterres, will improve upon them. We might have interests and obvious reasons why Mr. A or Madam B should become the next Secretary-General, but let's put the interests of the Assembly first in the process of nominating, appointing, and voting. The UN Secretary-General is appointed by the General Assembly upon the recommendation of the Security Council, meaning the choice requires approval from both bodies under Article 97 of the UN Charter. All of we here are fully aware that the next UN Secretary-General has not been chosen yet. The selection process to replace António Guterres is underway, with a final decision expected in October 2026 before the new term begins on January 1, 2027 hence we all should do the needful in making sure that we bring onboard who have the ability capacity and the can do spirit stir the affairs of the United Nations
