UCC extends 2026 admission application deadline for awaiting results applicants

The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has extended its 2026 undergraduate admission application deadline for applicants awaiting their WASSCE results.

The university said the application portal will remain open until Friday, September 11, for applicants seeking admission to selected health-related programmes.

In a notice issued by the Directorate of Academic Affairs and dated Sunday, September 6, the University said applications for all other programmes will remain open until Friday, September 25.

“Following the release of the 2026 WASSCE results by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), all awaiting results applicants to the University of Cape Coast are hereby informed that the application portal (apply.ucc.edu.gh) is still open until Friday, 11th September, 2026,” the university said.

The university has urged applicants to log into the application portal with their e-voucher details to confirm the accuracy of their full names, WASSCE index numbers and programme choices.

Applicants with existing November/December WASSCE results who did not use them during the initial application have also been advised to add them as a second sitting result.

UCC said new applicants who wrote the 2026 WASSCE should select the “2026 WASSCE candidates-Awaiting Results Application” option and will not be required to verify their results, as the university will verify them directly with WAEC.

Candidates with WASSCE results from 2025 or earlier, however, are required to verify their results during the application process before submission.

The September 11 deadline applies to applicants seeking admission to programmes including Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Doctor of Optometry, Doctor of Pharmacy, Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Laboratory Science, Dietetics, Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Diagnostic Imaging Technology.
