A former animal husbandry expert from the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and pastor of The Apostolic Church, Ghana (TAC-GH), Dr. Ebenezer Nana Gyamera, has been inducted as the General Secretary of Ghana’s largest ecumenical body, the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC).

The Farewell and Induction Service, held on Saturday, 22 August 2026, at the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Accra Technical Training Centre (ATTC), Kokomlemle–Accra, drew church leaders, ministers, representatives of member churches, family members, and well-wishers. The event served as both a tribute to a season of dedicated service and a welcoming of a new chapter in the Council's leadership.

For TAC-GH, the occasion marked a significant leadership transition as Apostle Immanuel Nii Okuley Tettey concluded his four-year tenure as General Secretary, handing over the mantle to Pastor Dr. Gyamera.

The transition carries special weight for The Apostolic Church-Ghana, as both leaders are ministers of the Church—one closing a distinguished term of service, the other embarking on a fresh tenure of national ecclesiastical duty.

TAC-GH has extended its commendation to Apostle Tettey for his devoted service to the GPCC, while offering its prayers and support for Pastor Dr. Gyamera as he steps into his new assignment. The Church has asked for wisdom, strength, and grace for the tasks ahead.

Pastor Dr. Gyamera assumes office with a robust portfolio blending pastoral ministry, leadership, administration, and academic experience. His service journey in The Apostolic Church-Ghana spans more than two decades, beginning in 2001 during his student years.

At the University of Cape Coast, he served as President of the UCC Chapter of The Apostolic Church Students and Associates (APOSA) and concurrently as National Vice Leader of the association. That early immersion in student ministry laid the foundation for a career marked by increasing responsibility within the Church. Over the years, Pastor Dr. Gyamera has held several key posts, including Project Team Leader, Presiding Elder, Pastor, and Director of Administration at the Church’s headquarters in Accra. He also served as Resident Pastor of the Amamoma Assembly in Cape Coast and currently pastors the Peace Villa District in Haatso–Accra.
