The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Tema Region, has attributed a power outage affecting several communities and businesses in the area to a fault in its network.
The affected areas include Kpogas, Coastal Estates, First Choice, Manet Estates, Kasapreko, Akuaba Estates and PolyTank.
Other affected areas are Darling Hair Products, Asutsuare, Volivo, Golden Exotics, Kasuna, Adakope, Lubuse and surrounding communities.
“The outage being experienced is as a result of a fault in our network,” ECG said in a notice issued on Friday, August 28.
The power distributor said its engineers are working to identify and rectify the fault to restore electricity supply to the affected customers.
ECG assured residents and businesses in the affected areas that efforts are underway to restore power.
“ECG wishes to assure affected customers that our Engineers are working to rectify the fault and restore supply,” the company added.
The company apologised to affected customers for the inconvenience caused by the outage.
