The Member of Parliament for Juaben Constituency, Hon. Francis Owusu‑Akyaw, has commissioned a newly completed Durbar Ground for the people of Akronwi, providing the community with a modern and befitting space for traditional, cultural and social activities.
Hon. Owusu‑Akyaw joined Chiefs, Elders, opinion leaders and residents of Akronwi for the official opening and dedication ceremony, marking the completion of a project he personally financed in support of the community.
The facility is expected to serve as an important venue for durbar, festivals, community gatherings and other significant events that reinforce cultural identity and social cohesion.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Owusu‑Akyaw reaffirmed his commitment to supporting development initiatives that directly improve the lives of constituents. He noted that the successful completion of the Durbar Ground reflects what can be achieved when community members and their leaders work together with a shared vision for progress.
He expressed appreciation to the Chiefs, Elders, opinion leaders and residents for their warm reception and for acknowledging his contribution to the project. According to him, the new facility will not only enhance traditional activities but also strengthen community engagement and help preserve the cultural heritage of the people.
Hon. Owusu‑Akyaw further pledged to continue collaborating with traditional authorities, community leaders and residents to identify and support projects that respond to the needs of communities across the Juaben Constituency.
The commissioning of the Akronwi Durbar Ground adds to the growing list of community infrastructure projects within the constituency and underscores the MP’s ongoing commitment to grassroots development.
