The Member of Parliament for Zebilla Constituency, Hon. Ebenezer Alumire Ndebilla, has commissioned Phase One of renovation works at the Binaba Health Centre and cut sod for the construction of three major road projects in the constituency.
The projects were launched on Tuesday, August 19, 2026, as part of efforts to improve healthcare delivery and road connectivity for residents in the constituency.
Phase One of the renovation at the Binaba Health Centre focused on refurbishing and furnishing the admission wards and consulting rooms.
The initiative forms part of the MP’s commitment to allocate GH¢100,000 annually from his Health Fund towards improving infrastructure at the facility and preparing it for an eventual upgrade to polyclinic status.
Addressing residents of Binaba and Kusanaba, Hon. Ndebilla commended the District Health Directorate and the Health Centre Management Committee for their role in ensuring that the first phase of the project was completed on schedule.
He disclosed that Phase Two would focus on renovating the maternity block and staff bungalows.
The MP assured residents of Binaba and neighbouring communities that he would continue to support the facility with the infrastructure and equipment required to facilitate its upgrade.
According to him, the renovation forms part of a broader strategy to reduce pressure on the Zebilla District Hospital by upgrading the Binaba and Sapeliga Health Centres to polyclinic status.
Road Projects
In a related development, Hon. Ndebilla cut sod for the commencement of work on the Zebilla–Widnaba and Kansoogo–Gore roads, as well as the construction of culverts along the Teshie–Soogo road.
He said the projects would improve access to markets, schools and healthcare facilities while enhancing transportation and stimulating economic activity across the constituency.
