President John Dramani Mahama has assured that his government will continue and complete the Agenda 111 hospital projects initiated by the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration, dismissing concerns that the initiative has been abandoned.
Speaking at Paga in the Upper East Region on Thursday, August 13, 2026, President Mahama said 35 of the projects that are at least 70 per cent complete have been prioritised for completion this year, with funding secured for the work.
He said the government would next year identify another 20 hospitals that have reached at least 50 per cent completion for continuation, with additional projects expected to be completed in 2028.
According to the President, priority would be given to districts that currently lack adequate health facilities to help expand access to healthcare across the country.
President Mahama also assured residents of the Upper East Region that the Navio Bridge project would soon be awarded on contract.
He further pledged to tackle persistent water supply challenges in the area by coordinating the efforts of Community Water and Ghana Water Limited to improve access to potable water.
