I have always maintained that one does not need to follow a leader around to be inspired, coached, or mentored by him or her.
It takes courage, determination, and a clear sense of purpose to recognize that you are ready to pursue your ambitions in life.
For example, I have learned from people who are far away or not personally close to me, simply by tapping into the wealth of knowledge they possess.
As I indicated earlier, it all boils down to one’s determination, purpose, and zeal to learn and make a meaningful impact.
In life—and particularly within the political environment—there are individuals I look up to, observe, and learn from, even from a distance. However, that distance does not affect what I seek to achieve or the lessons I hope to draw from them, regardless of where they live.
My focus has always been to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to upgrade myself as I journey through my political career.
That said, there are important questions one must ask: Who is your choice of leader to learn from, and what has been his or her impact?
These questions serve as guiding principles to help you carefully and wisely choose who best fits your aspirations. When answered honestly, they open more doors for exploration and help you stay focused on how to learn from your chosen mentors.
Truly, not everyone can be learned from afar, especially considering how differently people conduct themselves in the political arena. Individual differences play an instrumental role, and that should not be glossed over in our political architecture.
Indeed, you can learn from your political mentors through social media, organized forums, and other platforms. I have personally connected with and learned from political leaders from afar through my dedication to being mentored.
It does not require physical proximity to acquire the relevant knowledge needed to realize your goals.
Be ready and fully prepared—mentally and psychologically—to withstand the challenges that will arise on your life’s journey.
Once the time is right, you will connect with your mentors more deeply, regardless of the forces that may attempt to hinder your ambition and aspirations.
Shalom!
Long live NPP!
