Police hospital receives equipment to strengthen healthcare delivery

The Ghana Police Service Hospital has received a donation of hospital equipment from Baitulmaal, a non-profit international humanitarian non-governmental organisation headquartered in Dallas, United States of America, to enhance healthcare delivery and improve patient care.

The equipment is expected to strengthen the hospital’s capacity to provide quality and efficient healthcare services to personnel of the Ghana Police Service and members of the general public who access the facility.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Ghana Police Service Hospital, the Deputy Minister for the Interior, Mr Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, expressed the Government’s appreciation to Baitulmaal for the gesture and its continued support for healthcare delivery.

He said the Police Hospital played an important role in providing essential healthcare services to the public and, therefore, required the necessary resources and equipment to enable it to effectively discharge its mandate.

Mr Terlabi stressed the need for stakeholders to support the hospital, noting that such partnerships were important to strengthening its capacity and ensuring that it continued to provide essential healthcare services to the people.

He commended Baitulmaal for responding to the needs of the hospital and expressed optimism that the donated equipment would contribute significantly to improving patient care and enhancing the overall delivery of healthcare services.

Presenting the items, the Country Director of Baitulmaal, Mr Tarik Halim Mohammed, said the organisation was pleased to support institutions and communities across the world as part of its humanitarian mandate.

He said Baitulmaal remained committed to improving the health and wellbeing of underserved communities through the provision of life-saving, life-sustaining and life-enriching humanitarian assistance.

Mr Mohammed said the organisation’s interventions were aimed at bridging the gap between the compassion of donors and the needs of beneficiaries, particularly in communities and institutions requiring critical support.
