Nyarkotey college of holistic medicine makes major breakthrough in India to champion African Naturopathy

Arujeeva Ayurveda and Naturopathy Hospital in india, has taken another significant step toward global recognition by launching a Naturopathy and Ayurveda training program for students from Nyarkotey college of holistic medicine, Ghana. The program was inaugurated at the hospital's campus near the airport on Srinivas Saradagi Road, kanataka state, india, marking a milestone in international african naturopathy healthcare education and collaboration.

The training program was inaugurated by Kalaburagi Mayor Varsha R. Jane. Raphael Nyarkotey Obu from Ghana attended as the chief guest, while Dr. P. S. Shankar, Chairman of Arujeeva Ayurveda Hospital, presided over the event. The occasion was also attended by CEO Dr. Kaustubh Dumal, Ayurveda physician Dr. Shalin Bharati, doctors, hospital staff, dignitaries, and the visiting students from Ghana.

Addressing the gathering, the president of Nyarkotey college of holistic medicine, who is pioneering a new model for naturopathy in Africa, Raphael Nyarkotey Obu said that his college decided to send the students to Arujeeva Ayurveda and Naturopathy Hospital after being impressed by the institution's high standards in Naturopathy and Ayurveda, its modern treatment facilities, and its QAI-7101 accreditation in India.

He praised the hospital's advanced infrastructure, disciplined staff, and quality healthcare services. He further revealed that plans are underway to establish a similar Naturopathy hospital on nearly 50 acres in Accra, the capital of Ghana.

Nyarkotey Obu also said that he aims to take the best practices and knowledge gained from India back to Ghana to help establish Africa's naturopathic healthcare model, strengthening indigenous and evidence-based natural medicine across the continent. He further called on the government to help support Ghana’s only naturopathic college to standardize the system to protect public health.

In his presidential address, Dr. P. S. Shankar said that Arujeeva Ayurveda Hospital is steadily gaining international recognition and bringing global attention to Kalaburagi, which is a matter of pride for both the district and the state.
He noted that patients from across India and several other countries visit the hospital for treatment. The institution, run by the Manaveeya Kalyana Trust, continues to earn international appreciation for its commitment to quality healthcare, research, and holistic wellness.

The initiative marks another milestone for Kalaburagi in promoting Ayurveda and Naturopathy on the global stage while strengthening educational and healthcare collaboration between India and Ghana.
