President Mahama welcomes Moroccan Foreign Minister; reaffirms strong Ghana-Morocco relations 

The President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has reaffirmed Ghana's commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Morocco following a courtesy call by Morocco's Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita.

Mr. Bourita was received in audience by President Mahama on Tuesday in Accra on the sidelines of the second session of the Ghana-Morocco Joint Commission on Cooperation.

During the meeting, President Mahama conveyed his fraternal greetings to His Majesty King Mohammed VI and expressed satisfaction with the significant progress achieved in bilateral cooperation since the King's historic state visit to Ghana in February 2017.

The President noted that relations between Ghana and Morocco have continued to deepen across several strategic sectors, underscoring the shared commitment of both countries to enhancing political dialogue, economic partnerships, investment, and South-South cooperation.

The audience formed part of activities surrounding the Joint Commission on Cooperation, which seeks to review existing partnerships and identify new areas of collaboration to further strengthen ties between the two African nations.

The meeting reaffirmed the longstanding friendship between Ghana and Morocco and highlighted the mutual desire of both governments to expand cooperation for the benefit of their people and the advancement of African integration.
