Ho Central NDC: Former TEIN leader Jerry Awude joins race for deputy constituency secretary

Jerry Stanley Awude, a member of the National Democratic Congress NDC in the Ho Central Constituency, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Deputy Constituency Secretary in the upcoming party internal elections.

In a statement released on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, Mr. Awude said his decision is rooted in humility and a deep commitment to the ideals and growth of the NDC at the constituency level.

“With humility and a deep commitment to the National Democratic Congress, I, Jerry Stanley Awude, hereby declare my intention to contest for the position of Deputy Constituency Secretary of the Ho Central Constituency,” he stated.

The aspirant traced his political journey within the party, noting that he has served in various capacities over the years.

According to him, his experience spans from TEIN leadership through branch executive roles to his current position on the Constituency Executive Committee.

Mr. Awude said these roles have given him a practical understanding of the party’s structures at all levels.

“My service to the party has shaped my understanding of our structures, strengthened my commitment, and prepared me to contribute effectively to the growth and organization of our constituency,” he added.

He emphasized that his campaign will be anchored on three key pillars: Experience, Competence, and Accessibility.

He pledged to work to strengthen party organization, improve communication between the executive and the grassroots, and ensure the constituency is fully prepared for future elections.

The Deputy Constituency Secretary hopeful called on delegates and party faithful in Ho Central to rally behind his candidature. He said unity and hard work will be critical as the NDC works to retain and expand its support base in the Volta Region.

“I respectfully seek your support, prayers, and mandate as we work together to build a stronger, more united, and election-ready Ho Central Constituency,” Mr. Awude concluded in his declaration.
