'You've failed Ghanaians; resign' - Independent presidential candidate slams Mahama

Independent presidential candidate Kofi Koranteng has called on President John Dramani Mahama to resign, arguing that his administration has failed to deliver on the expectations of Ghanaians since returning to office.

Speaking on Voice of the Diaspora, a programme aired on Germany-based Fresh Radio, Mr. Koranteng criticised the government's handling of key national issues, claiming it has fallen short in addressing the country's major socio-economic and governance challenges.

He accused the Mahama administration of failing to make meaningful progress in the fight against corruption, illegal mining (galamsey), unemployment and other pressing national concerns.

According to Mr. Koranteng, many Ghanaians had anticipated significant reforms and stronger leadership following President Mahama's return to office, but those expectations have not been met.

He maintained that the President should accept responsibility for what he described as the government's poor performance by stepping down from office.

Mr. Koranteng made the remarks during an interview on Fresh Radio's Voice of the Diaspora, where he shared his views on governance, accountability and the country's current direction.
