Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West, Hon. Nenyi George Andah, has urged party faithful in the constituency to prioritize unity, discipline and collective interest over personal ambition as the NPP prepares for its Constituency Executive elections.

In a statement titled, “Awutu Senya West First: United Today. Victorious Tomorrow," the only living former NPP MP elected on the party’s ticket in the constituency said the upcoming internal contest must strengthen, not divide the party.

Mr. Andah said the NPP in Awutu Senya West was built by generations of patriots — from former MPs, DCEs and Ministers to polling station executives, TESCON, Women’s and Youth Wings and grassroots volunteers.

“No individual built the NPP in Awutu Senya West alone, and no individual will secure its future alone,” he stated. “The greatest tribute we can pay to those who came before us is to leave our party stronger than we found it."

He noted that while individuals may win or lose in the elections, “Awutu Senya West must not lose.”

According to him, a united constituency makes a stronger Central Region, which in turn makes the NPP stronger, and ultimately “Ghana wins.”

Mr. Andah described the delegates' votes as “a seed for 2028” and encouraged a peaceful, high-turnout election based on conscience and party interest above personal considerations.

To aspirants, he appealed for campaigns based on “vision, competence and character — not insults, misinformation or division.”

He also urged all aspirants, campaign teams and supporters to respect the outcome of the elections, congratulate winners, encourage those not elected, and “close ranks immediately and move forward together as one family.”

The former MP said the party’s mission going into 2028 is bigger than any individual ambition. It is to build a more united, organised and disciplined party, contribute decisively to victory in 2028, and help move Ghana forward.

He called on members to “Do More” — to serve more, unite more, listen more, organise more, mentor more, sacrifice more, and inspire more.

“The true measure of this election will not be who wins on polling day, but how united we are the morning after,” he added.

Mr. Andah concluded with prayers for every aspirant, every delegate, Awutu Senya West, the Central Region and the NPP.

The statement comes at a time when the NPP is preparing for internal elections across constituencies nationwide ahead of the 2028 general elections.
