Stop the infighting or face embarrassing defeat in 2028 — NDC Aspirant warns

An aspiring Vice Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Bibiani‑Anwiaso‑Bekwai, Mr. Isaac Anyimah, has issued a stern warning to party members to immediately halt internal factionalism, cautioning that persistent disunity could severely undermine the party’s chances in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking to the Correspondent, Mr. Anyimah described the growing cracks within the constituency as “a direct path to electoral suicide”, stressing that the party cannot afford to repeat the mistakes that cost others dearly.

He noted that signs of internal friction are already emerging, and if left unchecked, they could weaken the NDC’s foundations ahead of the next national polls.

“It would be suicidal for the NDC to lose power in 2028 simply because of factionalism and internal disunity,” he warned.

Mr. Anyimah condemned what he described as deliberate sabotage by some members, urging them to reconsider their actions for the sake of the party’s future.

Drawing a comparison, he pointed to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), arguing that the governing party is currently struggling due to “a lack of discipline, unity, and internal support.”

Beyond internal politics, Mr. Anyimah urged fellow politicians to adopt a more community‑centered approach to leadership. Echoing recent appeals from traditional leaders, he emphasized the need to prioritize the welfare and moral development of the youth.

He expressed concern over rising social vices among young people and pledged that, if elected Vice Constituency Chairman, his tenure would be defined by a strong push for youth empowerment and sustainable job creation.

“My primary focus will be to steer our youth away from social vices,” he assured. “We must provide them with the tools and jobs they need to build a future, not just use them for partisan politics.”

He commended traditional leaders for championing the well‑being of the next generation and urged politicians to follow their example.

Mr. Anyimah concluded with a rallying call for unity, urging executives and grassroots members to close ranks and work collectively toward development.

He stressed that only a disciplined, united, and attractive NDC can secure victory in the next election.

“We must stand together to keep the NDC strong and ready for 2028,” he said.
