An 11-year-old boy is currently receiving treatment at the hospital after his 24-year-old cousin allegedly lured him into a bush and attempted to kill him.
The suspect, identified as Kwadwo, is in police custody assisting with investigations following the incident.
According to reports, the boy raised an alarm during the alleged attack, drawing the attention of nearby residents who rushed to the scene. However, he had already sustained injuries by the time help arrived.
The victim is reported to be the only child of a visually impaired woman, who is also the suspect’s aunt.
The injured boy is receiving medical care, while two other people are also on treatment after reportedly sustaining injuries while attempting to restrain angry residents who moved to attack the suspect.
Police say investigations are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
