Leaders of the Okuapeman Connect Association have met with the Member of Parliament for Akuapem North, Samuel Awuku, to discuss the vision and objectives of the association.

During the meeting, the founder and leader of the association, Enock Ayeh, expressed his appreciation to the MP for granting them an audience. He noted that the association had reached out to several individuals and institutions but had not received the same level of response.

“We have sent letters to many people, but you are the first person to invite us to your office. Thank you for making time to meet us, and we hope you will continue to support our efforts,” Enock Ayeh said.

He explained that the association aims to unite people across Okuapeman and create a stronger sense of identity and collaboration among communities in the area. According to him, the group is committed to promoting development, unity, and progress throughout Okuapeman.

Responding to the delegation, Samuel Awuku commended the association for its vision and described the initiative as timely and important.

“I am happy with your vision. Trying to connect the whole of Okuapeman, just as the Ashantis have done, is a very good idea. At a time when we are facing chieftaincy-related challenges, initiatives like this can help bring our people together and strengthen unity,” he said.

The MP assured the association of his support and encouraged its leaders to remain committed to their mission. He emphasized the importance of dialogue, cooperation, and community engagement in promoting peace and development across Okuapeman.

The meeting ended with both sides expressing optimism about working together to advance the interests of the people of Okuapeman and foster greater unity within the area.
