The Member of Parliament for Navrongo Central, Simon Aworigo, has announced that work on the stalled Navrongo–Kologo–Naaga road project is expected to resume soon following the release of funds by the Ministry of Roads and Highways.
According to the MP, the development comes after several months of persistent engagement with the Ministry regarding the delayed project, which has been a major concern for residents and road users in the constituency.
In a statement, Mr. Aworigo expressed optimism that the contractor would return to site as early as next week to continue work on the road.
"After several months of following up with the Ministry of Roads and Highways on the stalled Navrongo–Kologo–Naaga road, I am happy to report that funds have been released, and the contractor is expected to return to site soon, hopefully next week," he stated.
The MP reaffirmed his commitment to improving road infrastructure within the constituency, noting that better roads are critical to enhancing transportation, safety, and economic activities in the area.
"I will continue to work towards fixing our roads to improve access, safety, and convenience for our people," he added.
The Navrongo–Kologo–Naaga road serves several communities and is considered an important route for commuters, farmers, traders, and other road users. The suspension of work on the project had generated concerns among residents who have long called for its completion.
Mr. Aworigo assured constituents that he would continue to advocate for development projects that address the needs of the people of Navrongo Central.
