The Member of Parliament for Ho West and Board Chairman of GETFund, Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, has supplied about 5,000 mono desks to senior high schools across his constituency to ease the persistent shortage of furniture.
The donation represents the first phase of support following formal requests submitted by the beneficiary schools. Each institution received the exact number of desks it applied for.
Awudome Senior High School received 1,500 units, while Abutia Senior High Technical School took delivery of 500. Tsito Senior High Technical School was allocated 1,000 desks, and Kpedze Senior High School received 500. Akome Senior High School benefited from 700 units, with Amedzofe Technical Institute receiving 500.
Presenting the furniture, Hon. Bedzrah urged school authorities and students to maintain the desks properly. He reaffirmed government’s commitment to strengthening educational infrastructure and improving learning environments.
Heads of the beneficiary schools expressed gratitude to the government, GETFund, and the MP, noting that the intervention will significantly enhance teaching and learning conditions.
