The other autobiography
“And this one you used for the franchise system?” Susanne Fröhlich wanted to make the situation clear.
“Not quiet,” was my answer.
“Here we go again…it gets complicated,” said Franz Kleve, tacking crisps after crisps. Susanne Fröhlich's offer of roasted marshmallows was rejected by him and Charles Darwin Jr..
“I wanted to start the system in the USA,” I slowed down my explanations,” for which reason I paid a professional American consultancy firm $ 10.000. They were mandated to make an American business plan based on my submissions of ideas and data including a prospect to sell the shares and find investors. They did as paid for but having sent out the papers to two hundred professional investors, Business Angels, Venture Capital Partners and alike there was no positive response coming.”
“Oh, how sad!" said Susanne Fröhlich to comfort me.
“If you play save and never try…never risk…you will never know what is possible and what not for you.”
Susanne Fröhlich agreed with me by saying:” Such people are playing safe…they complain later about others who finally succeed and want a share of their blessings or envy them…or put shame on them for having tried. Such people are of low character. The world should never fall into the hands of cowards.”
“I planned to find something which could work as a bread-and-butter job for me to cover my minimum expenditures while waiting for my great breakthrough."
“A wise idea,” commented Hans Wilder, seen in the back outside the shine of the flames.
“I found the Franchise system Studienkreis Nachhilfe. The Franchise fees for this Tuition school and the amount of investment were acceptable. It was as I saw it back then the ideal combination of my passion for teaching, small enough later to be managed by part-time staff, enough profit to pay my small minimum expenses, and easy to supervise giving me time and space to chase my real dream. But…but…”
“Here we go again,” smiled Susanne Fröhlich, looking sour into the empty pack of salted crisps."No more!"
“I made mistake after mistake. First I asked Hamburger Sparkasse for a loan being advised not to open a business with its own assets alone. Far too costly. I sat down with the Credit Manager. My loan request was just over €10.000. He said the bank could make me a really profitable offer. I should go for a loan of € 40.000 and think of what to buy to reach that goal. I thought hard and put a smile on his face and to get a loan mentioning a used Saab 9000 CD turbo. You remember this story, right?”
