Hon. Okoe Vanderpuje Visits Worcester Massachusetts Ahead Of World Cup

Hon. Okoe Vanderpuje MP Ablekuma South and chairman of the foreign Affairs Committee of parliament, who is also the chairman of the World Cup planning committee of Ashton Travel and tours Committee for the World cup is on a visit to the state of Massachusetts, specifically Worcester. The City of Worcester has been declared the official "fan city" for Ghanaian spectators attending the World Cup. Worcester is preparing to welcome Ghanaian fans prior to the highly anticipated match between Ghana and England at Foxborough on June 23rd, 2026.

On his first day in Worcester, Hon. Vanderpuje began his tour at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), which is scheduled to accommodate spectators in its dorm rooms during the World Cup events in June 2026. He also visited the Marriott and Hilton hotels adjacent to the colleges on the same day, as these hotels may be used by Members of Parliament and corporate sponsors attending the World Cup.

The trip took him to Bryant University, where he familiarized himself with the Black Stars' training facilities. Earlier, upon arrival at Logan Airport in Boston, Hon. Okoe Vanderpuje was met by members of the National Democratic Congress in Massachusetts. The multi-day trip was organized by Ashton Travel Agency, an accredited World Cup travel agency, in partnership with Ellite Events by Efua D & Co and BOH Concept, a Seattle-based workforce management company owned by a Ghanaian.
