Nana Shamor, a well‑known philanthropist in the Ashanti Region, has dedicated a set of heavy‑duty road construction machines to four communities across three district assemblies as part of his birthday celebration.
The Development Chief (Nkosuohene) of Nyankyerenyase, CEO of the Shamor Group of Companies, and Founder and Leader of the Shamor International Church, Nana Shamor presented the equipment as his personal contribution—mirroring the government’s District Road Improvement Program (DRIP).
The beneficiary communities include:
- Nyankyerenyase in the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly
- Akrofuom in the Afigya Kwabre South District
- Offinso and Abofuor‑Kyebi in the Offinso Municipal Assembly
The donated machinery comprises a brand‑new XCGM grader, five heavy‑duty tipper trucks, and a payloader.
Apostle Dr. Nana Adu‑Gyamfi Kumanini Barima Kesse I announced that the equipment would be made available to improve feeder road networks in the beneficiary communities whenever needed. He further pledged to cover the cost of fueling the machines and to provide incentives for operators when necessary.
Speaking at his birthday celebration at Akrofuom in the Afigya Kwabre South District, Nana Adu‑Gyamfi Kumanini Barima Kesse I explained that the initiative aims to bypass bureaucratic delays and other challenges associated with accessing the state‑owned DRIP machinery.
He noted that the frustrations and inconveniences often encountered when requesting the use of government equipment discourage many well‑meaning individuals from supporting deprived communities.
The CEO, Apostle, and traditional leader emphasized that the dedicated machines will be easily accessible, ensuring timely and hassle‑free services for communities in need.
He stressed that his philanthropic gesture is not politically motivated but driven by genuine love and goodwill for his people and humanity at large.
Nana Shamor also appealed to those who will be entrusted with the machines to handle them with honesty and care to ensure they serve their intended purpose for many years.
The Queen Mother of Nyankyerenyase, Oheneyire Nana Yaa Adutwumwaa II, speaking on behalf of the beneficiary communities, expressed profound gratitude to the Apostle and CEO for the equipment and commended him for his consistent, people‑centered philanthropic efforts.
