Before the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) were on the cocoa farms trying to capitalise on the delay in payment for their selfish agenda. Kindly try harder. The good people of Ghana appreciate the sincerity of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.

The failed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia-led team are again using the price promised by the NDC in 2024 as a yardstick to call President John Dramani Mahama dishonest. Sad. I remember my economics lecturer carefully saying “ceteris paribus” anytime he was comparing situations. So, NPP, all things being equal, how much would you have sold a bag of cocoa?

NPP, you are too much in a hurry to come to power. Take your time, search yourselves, understand where you are and make efforts at cleansing yourselves before giving yourselves another try.

I have been humbled by the acceptance speeches from many cocoa farmers who seem to know more than the Minority in Parliament today. The NPP should not think they can cover their eight-year mess with some of these attempts.

For some of us, we are happily waiting for the revival of the new Produce Buying Company and the value additions to our cocoa beans before leaving the shores of Ghana. Aban papa aba, Ghana b3y3 d3d333d3 s3 chocolate 🍫!!!

Lest I forget, happy Valentine’s Day in advance to all my readers. Kindly get a chocolate this weekend and share it with someone in support of our cherished cocoa farmers for their love and toil. Let us keep hope alive. There are better days ahead.
