God Still Speaks, Just Not Like El-Benard & His Fallen Angel! Random Musings by Abilolo!

For a Christian Apologetic, I write this piece not out of malice, nor to cast stones at the earnest hearts of believers, but because the misuse of spiritual authority in our public political space, has reached a boiling point that demands honest reckoning and discernment. When the prophetic office is wielded like a megaphone for partisan outcomes, it cheapens the voice of God and breeds confusion in a generation yearning for truth. Over the past months, many of us have watched with dismay as Prophet Bernard El-Benard Nelson-Eshun repeatedly proclaimed in church services, books, videos, and media interviews that Kennedy Ohene Agyapong would be the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer; a declaration he anchored to so-called prophetic authority and urged believers to receive as divine truth. Yet when the results of the NPP presidential primaries showed that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia secured victory instead, the prophecy collapsed under the weight of reality, and El-Benard has been compelled to issue a public apology admitting; “That word did not come to pass…I missed it…I was wrong, I am deeply sorry, and I ask for your forgiveness.”

That moment of a prophet publicly retracting and apologising for a failed declaration about earthly leaders, beyond the news, is a crisis in the prophetic culture that deserves sober reflection. It is precisely because words spoken in the name of God carry life-shaping consequences emotionally, spiritually, and politically. The prophetic gifts entrusted to God’s servants must not be leveraged as some political oracles, nor paraded as sealed destinies when they are, in fact, mere human conjecture thinly veiled as divine revelation. El-Benard’s apology, and his announced season of stepping back from pulpit ministry to reflect and refocus, underscores a deeper truth about accountability in spiritual matters; a truth too critical to gloss over in silence.

I am a fruit of spirituality! I do not despise Prophecies! In fact, ridiculing and rebuking El-Benard is born out of a zeal to preserve the place of visions and Prophecies while we Sojourn out here, in our walk with God! So you all should cut us some slack treating us as some unbelievers touching your anointed preacher! If he stayed in the anointing, we wouldn’t have a reason to chastise him! Because God is not the author of confusion!

We are by the Grace of God, not novices in spiritual matters and maneuverings! I will tell you about a real Prophet God is using who doesn’t make noise…He is my brother Toni Gyamfi ! He is a man of few words but deep in the things of God!
Weeks before the election 2024, he sent me a text which read; “I saw in a vision you were campaigning for Bawumia!” For someone who was knee-deep into my old manner of advancing the life and vision of Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, you can imagine the shock with which I received that message! I remember responding with “Lol! It’s not possible!”

But as you may all know, God is Faithful! And he is God alone! He does things for the living to know he rules in the affairs of his people! His ways are not the ways of men! With time, just when I had been informed that the Movement was likely going to transition into a Political Party, I told him in a chat on 21st January 2025 that should Alan go ahead to form a Political Party against the values and principles we advanced with the Movement for Change, that would be the only window for his vision about me working for Dr Bawumia, to materialize!

Eventually, upon the formation of the United Party, and after deep spiritual exercises, consultations and sober reflections on the consequences of my actions, I found myself texting back my brother to inform him; “it appears your vision is coming to pass o!”

To prove he had no human interest in the vision God had used him to deliver, unlike El-Benard and co, he was nonchalant! He treated it as a passing comment even though I was hoping he would try to convince or encourage me to go ahead so his vision would come to pass. Remember El-Benard had no regard for the sensibilities of his hearers and that forms a major red flag for a man moved by God.

The problem with my good friend El-Benard is that, he didn’t just Prophesy, dude campaigned and used categorical statements in absolute terms as if he was some god in the affairs of men! He disrespectfully carried a message under political inducement, yet rode on the name of God and his so called prophetic office to the cheers of his myrmidons!
Now the smart guy that he is, he was seen in church today, taking or I should say attempting to cowardly take solace in some chapter of a book he had written which is titled; “When Prophets Miss it!” He wants to be seen yielding as an example of a prophet who missed it, to sell his book!

And of course, the Myrmidons, victims of his investments into optics and brainwashing dogma, would happily buy the book just like they clapped in excitement today at a time they ought to allow the man go through the rigorous and difficult but necessary exercise of guilt and remorse as key processes for repentance to rid himself off depravity! Unfortunately, he might fall for the illusions and never regret or repent to become a better version of himself!

In the end, this is not a quarrel with prophecy, nor a war against men of God; it is a firm insistence that God’s name must not be cheapened by theatrics, manipulation, or political convenience. True prophecy carries weight, restraint, accountability, and humility and when it errs, it bows in brokenness, not branding. Let us therefore discern wisely, honour God sincerely, and refuse to outsource our conscience to noise dressed up as anointing. As for me, my allegiance remains to truth, order, and the God who rules in the affairs of men, not confusion parading as revelation.

Well, let me not make this piece longer than it should, now the NPP has a leader, and we look forward to his direction to follow with all our heart, minds and God-given talents! Selah!
