The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has assured Ghanaians of its commitment to deliver meaningful improvements in their living conditions.
The assurance comes as the party marks one year since winning the 2024 general elections, which returned President John Dramani Mahama to office for a second non-consecutive term.
In a Christmas and New Year message issued on Wednesday, December 24, the party reflected on its first year in government and outlined its priorities for the period ahead.
The statement, signed by General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, highlighted economic recovery, job creation and accountability as key areas of focus.
The party said the festive season offers an opportunity for reflection on national responsibility and shared values.
“This festive period also marks one year since Ghanaians entrusted the NDC with the mandate to govern. The party fully acknowledges this responsibility and remains resolute in translating its vision into tangible improvements in the lives of the people,” the statement said in part.
According to the party, the past year has seen deliberate efforts to restore confidence in governance, stabilise the economy and lay a foundation for sustainable growth, while strengthening social protection and accountability.
It added that these measures are aimed at improving living standards across the country.
“As the nation looks to the new year, the NDC reaffirms its unwavering commitment to delivering fully on its mandate, with focus on economic recovery, job creation for the youth, stronger public institutions, and improved living standards,” it stated.
