The Constitutional Review Committee is scheduled to present its final report to President John Dramani Mahama today, Monday, December 22, at the Presidency in Accra.
The eight-member committee, chaired by Professor H Kwasi Prempeh, Executive Director of the Ghana Centre for Democratic Development, was set up by President Mahama to undertake a comprehensive review of the 1992 Constitution.
According to the Presidency, the presentation will take place at 14:00 hours at the Presidency.
Other members of the committee include Justice Sophia Adinyira, a former Supreme Court judge; Professor Kwame Karikari; Charlotte Osei; Dr Godwin Djokoto; Ibrahim Tanko Amidu; Dr Esi Ansah; and Dr Rainer Akumperigeya.
The committee was inaugurated on January 30 and was initially expected to submit its report in August. However, due to the extensive scope of the assignment, it requested and was granted a three-month extension to complete its work.
