The late Charles Kwadwo Fosu aka Daddy Lumba was an icon and will still remain so even in death, regardless how far hypocrite Ghanaians across the globe try to demonise him.
Is it not said that we should not speak ill of the dead? If yes, why are Ghanaians across the globe, especially, social media bloggers and their listeners, phone-in serial callers and programme participants, constantly without shame dissecting Daddy Lumba in a disreputable manner to bring shame upon his name and soul?
Is he the only Ghanaian husband that has/had married more than one wife or is he the only Ghanaian male that has/had one wife and a “side chick(s)”? If not, why are Ghanaian males and females discussing him and his passing so deplorably as though he was the most ignoble husband ever to originate from Ghana?
Polygamy is acceptable in Ghana with bigamy never a crime in Ghanaian society. Why is Daddy Lumba then being seen as an eyesore because he was married and at the same time had a concubine or lived with another woman with whom he cohabited and procreated?
If any of the Ghanaian males and females tarnishing the reputation and personality of Daddy Lumba even in death, have never committed any of his alleged crimes before, the writer encourages them to continue to cast stones at him.
Why have Ghanaians become so westernized, thus, Europeanised and Americanised, to the point of seeing their own traditions and culture as evil so they must be discarded?
If whatever is the whiteman’s culture is good, why should Ghanaians moan when the whites are forcing LGBTQ+, their diversity and equality culture, down their throat?
Hypocrite Ghanaians, you can’t have the right of “pick and choose” so please stop portraying Daddy Lumba as the devil incarnate, if not the devil himself.
There is not a single passing day that one will not hear him being discussed in a sickening manner on the social media by hypocrite Ghanaians using his circumstances to make money and or, take stands on their own marriages.
Whatever his shortcomings were, if any, the writer pleads with Ghanaians to let him go in peace but not to make his soul restless by their daily bashing of him.
The writer sympathises with his wife Madam Akosua Serwaah Fosu, his alleged “side chick” Odo Broni, his children and the entire bereaved Fosu family on the regrettable passing of Daddy Lumba, the most worldwide recognised Ghanaian music icon of all time.
May those holier-than-thou but indeed hypocrite Ghanaians, let him continue his journey to his Maker in peace, without placing further artificial hurdles in his way.
May Kwadwo’s soul rest in peace.
The writer ends by saying, “Kwadwo, damirifa due, due, due ne amanehunu”.
