The Osu Ebenezer Hall was filled with excitement and pride as the TUCEE Institute of Counselling and Technology held its 11th graduation ceremony, celebrating the achievements of 184 students who completed their training in counselling and mental health support.
The ceremony, themed “Equipped for Emergencies: Expanding Mental Health Services in Times of Crisis,” highlighted the growing importance of professional counselling in addressing mental health challenges across Ghana and beyond.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Priscilla Commey-Mintah commended the graduates for their perseverance and commitment to the field.
She urged them to approach their profession with empathy, resilience, and continuous learning, noting that the demands of counselling require both skill and emotional strength. Her message encouraged the new counsellors to become dependable sources of support in moments of personal and collective crisis.
The event also celebrated TUCEE Institute’s continued dedication to advancing mental health education and service delivery. Through rigorous academic and practical training, the Institute has positioned itself as a key contributor to Ghana’s growing network of mental health professionals.
The Principal of the Institute lauded the graduates for their hard work and discipline, noting that their achievement marks not an end but the beginning of a lifelong mission to promote mental wellness in their communities.
As the Class of 2025 received their certificates, they were reminded that the world increasingly depends on trained counsellors to help individuals and families navigate emotional distress, trauma, and societal pressures.
TUCEE Institute reaffirmed its commitment to expanding access to quality counselling education and equipping graduates with the tools to respond effectively to the evolving mental health needs of society.
The ceremony concluded with heartfelt congratulations to the graduates, whose skills, compassion, and dedication are expected to bring hope and healing to those they will serve.
