Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, MP for Bantama Constituency, has turned up the heat on the government over the state of the Metro Mass Transit system at Abrepo Junction in the Ashanti Region.
In Parliament yesterday, the MP directly questioned the Minister for Transport on the concrete measures being taken to revitalise the transport system, improve efficiency, enhance commuter access, and generate local employment.
Sharing the development on his official Facebook page, Hon. Asenso-Boakye framed the inquiry as a push for accountability and tangible results from the government.
Political commentators see the move as a strategic assertion of oversight, putting pressure on the Ministry to deliver real improvements in public transport; an issue that affects thousands of daily commuters in one of the country’s busiest regions.
The Minister’s response is now highly anticipated, as residents and stakeholders watch closely to see if promised reforms will translate into action on the ground.
