Ghana Embassy in Washington D.C launches website to combat misinformation

The Embassy of Ghana in Washington, D.C. has launched a new official website and is urging the public to stop using its old domain.

In a release issued by the Embassy in Washington, it stated that the Embassy’s online presence is now exclusively hosted at washington.mfa.gov.gh. The previous website address, ghanaembassydc.org, has been officially decommissioned.

“Any content appearing on that old domain does not originate from the Embassy and should be disregarded,” it added.

The statement said, to avoid misinformation, applicants and the public are directed to use only the new official website and the Embassy’s verified social media accounts for consular services and information.

The official handles are Facebook: Embassy of Ghana in Washington DC, USA, Instagram: embassyofghanausa and X (formerly Twitter): @GhanaEmbassy_DC.

“The Embassy appreciates the cooperation of the public in safeguarding the integrity of its digital services,” it added.
