The MCE addressing the gathering after his confirmation

The Atebubu-Amantin Municipal Assembly has confirmed the President’s nominee, Thomas Masud Musah Ayaaba, as the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).

He secured 42 out of 44 votes, representing 95.5 percent approval from the Assembly Members.

The confirmation came shortly after the Assembly elected Hon. Yahaya Dindiok as its new Presiding Member, thereby clearing the way for the endorsement of the MCE nominee.

Mr. Ayaaba, a chartered accountant by profession, expressed his profound gratitude to the President for the confidence reposed in him. He also thanked traditional authorities, party executives, and assembly members for their overwhelming support.

In his acceptance remarks, he pledged to work diligently towards the development of the Atebubu-Amantin Municipality, promising to deliver inclusive and accountable leadership.

The confirmation ceremony was attended by several high-profile dignitaries, including the Member of Parliament for Atebubu-Amantin, Hon. Sanja Nanja; the Bono East Regional Minister, Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi; and the Bono East Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Unas Owusu.

Also present were traditional leaders, heads of departments, security personnel, and a large number of party supporters who celebrated the occasion with drumming, singing, and dancing that continued well into the evening.
