Ghanaian entrepreneur and Founder of Bills Microfinance, Richard Nii Armah Quaye, has revealed that by the age of 30, he was financially stable enough to afford anything on sale in the world.
Speaking in an interview with Ghanaian broadcaster Bola Ray on Starr Chat, the 40-year-old business mogul stated that despite his financial capability at the time, he refrained from making extravagant purchases because he was focused on his long-term plans.
“I can confidently tell you that 10 years ago, I could afford anything that was on sale in the world. Anything. But I never really did. I could have bought a Rolls-Royce, but I didn’t because I had a plan, and I needed to stick to it and allow it to work,” he said.
Explaining his financial philosophy, he emphasized the power of compounded wealth, stating that money, when properly managed, grows exponentially.
“There is a compound effect when it comes to money. As it grows, it reaches a stage where it starts multiplying abnormally. Your money can also become a business in itself.
“Our money can work for us. When you work with your energy to make money, there’s a limit to how much you can earn because you are human—you only have 24 hours in a day, and you get tired. But your money has no limit to how much it can generate for you,” he added.
Quaye also revealed that he now owns a private jet worth about $50 million, which he shares with his mother, whom he credits for supporting him and his family during difficult times.
“I bought a Gulfstream private jet. Mine is a nine-seater Gulfstream,” he disclosed.
