Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central Kwame Asare-Obeng, widely known as A Plus, has consoled the immediate past Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, following his removal from office.
Dr. Dampare was relieved of his role on Thursday, March 13, despite calls from some Ghanaians, including civil society groups, for him to be allowed to complete his tenure.
In a social media post on Friday, March 14, the outspoken musician and lawmaker offered a prayer for the former IGP, commending his service to the nation.
He assured Dr. Dampare that his dedication and service to Ghana would not go unnoticed, adding that God would guide and protect him.
“Today, I lift up a prayer for you. I pray that each morning, you rise with strength in your spirit, purpose in your steps, and an unshakable peace in your heart. May the Lord bless you abundantly and keep you under His divine protection. May His light shine upon you, His grace surround you, and His love shield you from all harm,” part of his post read.
Encouraging the former IGP to remain steadfast, he added, “Move boldly, my brother. Walk with your head held high, shoulders back, and faith unwavering. Live with a heart overflowing with love for Ghana, for wherever you go, you never walk alone—He and the spirit of our ancestors will guide and protect you and your generations unborn. Always!”
