
President John Dramani Mahama has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to outgoing Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare for his dedicated service to the nation.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the new IGP, COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno, President Mahama acknowledged Dr. Dampare’s contributions to law enforcement and national security.
“Let me take this opportunity to also extend my deepest gratitude to the outgoing IGP. He has served our nation with dedication and commitment, and his contribution to law enforcement and national security will not be forgotten,” he stated.
He commended Dr. Dampare for his unwavering efforts to ensure the safety and security of Ghanaians, emphasizing the impact of his leadership on the police service.
“We thank him for his service, and we wish him well in his future endeavors,” he added.
