Renowned Islamic cleric and researcher, Dr. Sheikh Abdul-Muhsin Baafi has expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama and Directors of the Ghans Airports Company Limited for the construction of the new Hajj Village.
Sheikh Baafi who doubles as a researcher with much experience in the Arab world stated in an official statement copied to Modern Ghana News on Monday that the landmark project is a testament to the Ghana Airports Company's commitment to providing exceptional services and facilities for Ghanaian Muslim pilgrims traveling to and from the Holy Land, Mecca.
The Islamic scholar further indicated that the purpose-built facility not only enhances the overall pilgrim experience but also generates additional revenue streams for the company.
"We appreciate the forward-thinking approach of the Ghana Airports Company in creating this self-funded project, which requires no government expenditure. This innovative endeavor aligns with international best practices in airport management and demonstrates the company's dedication to excellence.
"Once again, we express our heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama, and the Directors of the Ghana Airports Company Limited for their vision and support," he stated.
