President John Dramani Mahama has revealed that the country’s debt servicing will amount to GHs280 billion cedis, which would comprise GHs 150 billion for domestic debt and GHs 130 billion for external debt servicing.
Delivering his first State of the Nation’s Address on Thursday, February 27, President Mahama highlighted the severe repercussions of Ghana’s debt accumulation and economic mismanagement.
He emphasized the extensive work and sacrifice required to repair the damage caused by these issues.
“In the next four years, debt servicing will amount to GHS 280 billion, comprising GHS 150 billion for domestic and GHS 130 billion in external debt servicing.” he stated.
