Enock Akonnor, a seasoned journalist with Modern Ghana Online, has praised Kofi Job, a prominent contractor in Ghana, for his exceptional work in construction and his philanthropic efforts.
Akonnor highlighted the unmatched passion with which Job supports vulnerable members of society.
On Wednesday, Kofi Job and his wife, Esther Gyebi, generously cleared the medical bills of 213 patients at Manhyia District Hospital, Tafo Government Hospital, and Kumasi South Hospital, amounting to GH₵1 million.
At the Kumasi South Hospital, he covered GH₵120,000 for the chemotherapy and surgery of two children suffering from cancer (renal cancer and retinoblastoma). In addition, he also made payments for the repair and purchase of medical equipment for the three hospitals.
During Christmas 2024, Kofi Job, through his Kofi Job Foundation, made a significant donation of chickens, clothing, and cash to over 1,000 widows in Kumasi. His support also extended to needy but talented students, among many others.
Enock Akonnor stated that Kofi Job's contributions to initiatives addressing the needs of the vulnerable are fostering a more cohesive and supportive community where everyone feels loved and valued. He remarked, "This is the kind of person we need in our society. The rich are not blessed by God only to enjoy their blessings with their family members. To be rich means to reach out to other people."
According to Akonnor, Kofi Job's philanthropic actions should be emulated by other affluent institutions and individuals, as they provide assistance to those who may be unable to care for themselves due to factors such as age, disability, or challenging life situations. "Every act of kindness contributes to the well-being and betterment of people around us," he concluded.
