A newly graduated student from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has boldly mentioned that she expects nothing below GH¢ 4,000 as the minimum salary when considering a job offer.
She made this revelation during an interview on the Maxi Empire DDP YouTube channel as she celebrated her graduation.
The graduate explained that her decision stems from insights gained during her national service, where she observed that many jobs in Ghana offer competitive salaries for degree holders.
She emphasized her resolve to position herself for such opportunities through strategic networking and connections.
“I don’t think I will settle for GH¢ 2,000... GH¢ 2,000 is too low. As a degree holder, maybe something like GH¢ 4,000 won’t be bad,” she stated.
When pressed further about her stance, she elaborated, “During my service, I realized there are well-paying jobs out there. The key is making connections with people who can link you to those opportunities.”
