The National Lottery Authority (NLA) has rescheduled its Friday and Saturday lottery draws to Sunday, December 8, citing this year’s Farmers’ Day celebration and the general elections as reasons.
In a public announcement issued on Thursday, December 5, the NLA stated that the decision was taken in accordance with Regulation 21(1) of the Lottery Regulation 2008 (L.I. 1948).
This provision gives the Director-General the authority to alter lottery schedules in special circumstances.
“All lotto marketing companies, third-party collaborators, private lotto operators, patrons of NLA products, and the general public are to take note of the new arrangements,” the statement read in part.
The Farmers’ Day public holiday on Friday, December 6, and the general elections on Saturday, December 7, have created logistical challenges that necessitated the shift.
As a result, all affected draws, including the National Weekly Lotto Draw and others initially scheduled for these two days, will now take place on Sunday.
New schedule:
According to the NLA, the affected draws will be conducted in two sessions on Sunday.
The first session, starting at 1:30 p.m., will include games like VAG Friday, NoonRush Friday, Super 6, and Afriluck Saturday Midday Cash.
The second session, set for 6:00 p.m. will feature the popular Friday Bonanza, National Weekly Lotto, and Sunday Aseda, among others.
