Bernard Mornah of the People’s National Convention (PNC) has publicly declared his unwavering support for John Dramani Mahama as Ghana approaches the December 7 general elections.
Speaking on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) mega rally held at Zurak Park, Madina, Accra, Mornah emphatically stated, “Let the world know that nothing will be done to prevent the coming into [power of] John Dramani Mahama as the next president of the Republic of Ghana.”
The rally, a pivotal event for the NDC, was held just days before the polls. The opposition party is being led into the elections by former President Mahama, who is vying for a return to the presidency.
Mornah urged NDC supporters to turn out in large numbers to cast their votes and remain vigilant at polling stations. “Go out in your numbers, vote, and stay at the polling stations to ensure your ballot will be counted so that the victory we’re all craving for will come to Ghana,” he said.
Although Bernard Mornah and the PNC were disqualified from contesting in the presidential elections, his endorsement of Mahama underscores a shared desire among opposition forces to unseat the incumbent administration.
