The Second Lady of Ghana, Her Excellency Hajia Samira Bawumia, is intensifying her efforts ahead of the December 2024 elections with a nationwide tour aimed at engaging traditional leaders and seeking their blessings for victory for her husband.

As part of her campaign strategy, she recently visited the Oti Region, where she met with the chiefs, queen mothers, and residents of various communities to share the vision and message of hope that her husband, the Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has for the nation.

During her engagements, Hajia Samira Bawumia emphasized the importance of safeguarding the achievements of the current administration and securing the future of the country by supporting Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming election.

Her message resonated with the chiefs and people of the Oti Region, who expressed enthusiasm for Dr. Bawumia's transformational vision as a presidential candidate.

One of the highlights of her visit was the reception she received from the Poase Cement Chief and Adontenhene of the Dodi Traditional Area in the Kadjebi District, Nana Amanano Mensah II.

The chief praised the Second Lady for her humility and the role she is playing in her husband's campaign.

He declared that her support as a strong pillar for the NPP candidate is crucial to the party's success in the upcoming election.

"Any warrior who enjoys the support of his wife as his formidable pillar will always succeed in battle, and that’s exactly the role you are playing perfectly well.

“Because of all your efforts, Dr. Bawumia will certainly be victorious in the election," Nana Amanano Mensah II stated.

In recognition of her contributions, the queen mothers in the Akan Constituency presented a citation to Hajia Samira Bawumia, acknowledging her efforts in advancing the development of women and children in Ghana.
