Dear NDC Female MPs,
I write to articulate my sentiment on your needless presser yesterday concerning all the brouhaha surrounding the remarks made by the Majority Leader of Parliament.
Your presser yesterday was to play smart with the minds of Ghanaians mainly with a lack of reliable message for them to accept and thereby with this supposed "male against the female" which isn't the case whatsoever.
In fact, why can't members of NDC withstand the same level of despicable and unprovoked attacks on the person of H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia? They malign and insult him with the slightest of opportunity granted to them.
In parliamentary debates, the minority members from the NDC can't make their contributions without bringing in the name of the NPP Flagbearer, H.E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Why can't they accept the same act they are engaged in?
Accordingly, the MPs from the NDC side through to the top hierarchy of the Party and the floor members are all on an insulting spree targeting H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Flagbearer of NPP.
It's quite insincere that a group of people who are interested in using all manner of spiteful and horrifying words on Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia seem not to accept the same heat when it's returned to them on the floor of Parliament.
Strangely, NDC female MPs in Parliament yesterday organized a presser in Parliament to express their unhappiness and dismay on the contributions of the Hon. Majority Leader during the SONA debate.
Indeed, Hon.Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin in his remarks spoke highly of the NDC presenting the same Flagbearer who was rejected by Ghanaians. He further highlighted the unreadiness of the NDC to govern with a sense of urgency to solve the teething challenges Ghanaians go through.
Hon. Majority Leader didn't mince words when he mentioned the choice of the running mate of the Former President with the view that the NDC doesn't have a succession plan for the future of the country with Prof. Jane Naana Opoku who is old enough without the capacity to lead.
Realistically, why should the above statement from from the Majority Leader spark or generate this kind of presser from the NDC Female MPs in Parliament some of whom were/are guilty of the same turn of events with the remarks from the Majority Leader who is always careful with his choice of words?
All of a sudden, it's vividly clear that the NDC female MPs are dabbling in acts of playing with the vulnerable card to suit their agenda of male against female in our political discourse. This is unheard of and shouldn't be given the needed attention.
Quite frankly, some of the NDC Female MPs who were part of the presser are entangled in the same acts of even using very uncivilized and derogatory remarks on the Flagbearer of NPP H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Hajia Samira Bawumia.
Today they want the whole world to come to their rescue as if something horrendous has happened to them all in the name of inciting the public against the Majority Leader who was charitable in his submission on the floor of Parliament.
Dear NDC female MPs, brace yourselves and prepare to withstand constructive criticisms especially when they are found of using insulting words against the Flagbearer and leader of NPP with so much passion without considering its repercussions.
I respectfully implore them to channel their energies on how to market their unattractive product to the Ghanaian people who are aware of the bad deeds of Former President Mahama and Prof Jane Naana Opoku. We are discerning to fall for this vulnerable card they want to play with Ghanaians.
In conclusion, Dr. Bawumia is human with the same blood that runs through his veins as Prof Jane Naana Opoku and deserves the same good treatment they are calling for for their running mate. The Elections are all about presenting policies and initiatives that will inure to the advantage of the electorates but not to smartly play with the victim cards for votes.
Shalom!
