Philanthropist, entrepreneur Jadore installed Bubuashie Zongo/Okaikwei South Queen Mother

Prominent traditional rulers, Zongo Chiefs, Imams and opinion leaders from various communities in Ghana over the weekend gathered at Bubuashie, a suburb of Accra to witness the installation of a female philanthropist and Entrepreneur, Hajia Fatima Zahra Hassan also known as Jadore as the Paramount Zongo Queen mother (Sarauniya) of Bubuashie.

Hajia Fatima Zahra Hassan's philanthropic work in society and her respect for all as well as her peace-loving nature has made her popular within Bubuashie and the entire Zongo communities in the country.

She has over years been supporting many women and the aged through her Fa-Modara Jadore foundation in skill training and financial support.

She is the first to be crowned Zongo Paramount Queen mother (Sarauniya) of Bubuashie and Okaikwei South.

She went through all the necessary rites and was installed by the legitimate kingmakers of Bubuashie and Okaikwei South.

Outdooring the new Queen mother of Bubuashie and Okaikwei South at a colourful and well organized ceremony, it was established that her enstoolment was due to her unwavering support and love for youth, women, widows and the needy.

The Chiefs and elders of Bubuashie pledged their support and urged the new queen mother (Sarauniya) to call on them in times of difficulties and seek advice in order to achieve her goals of developing and empowering the people.

On her part, the newly installed Bubuashie Zongo and Okaikwei South Queen mother (Sarauniya) promised to continue with her support for the people and pledged to contribute her quota diligently to improve the living standards of the needy, widows and the aged in the community.

She called on the people to put all hands on deck to take the community to a higher height.

Hajia Fatima Zahra Hassan promised to use her contacts to initiate more skill training programmes and resources to empower more women to become financially independent.

The newly installed queen mother expressed her displeasure over the rise in teenage pregnancy which has become the order of the day in most communities of which Bubuashie is not an exception. She assured the good people of Bubuashie that immediate measures would be put in place to solve the issue of teenage pregnancy within her jurisdiction.

According to her, the role given to her as the queen mother is not only to dress in beautiful clothes and regalia rather it is expected of her to make a positive impact in society, especially in the girl child.

Hajia Fatima Zahra urged parents and guardians to invest more in the education of their children adding that giving children good education comes with huge sacrifice.

She stressed that investing in the education of the child is the right way to address child delinquency, and other irresponsible behaviour on the part of children.
