Mr David Rogers, an instructor from the Freight Masters Driving and Bussiness Institute's Ashaley Botwe branch, has charged drivers with adopting the driving edicts "Concentration, Observation, Anticipation, and Tolerance" (COAT) as general driving principles.

Mr. Rogers emphasized the importance of attention, advising drivers to prioritize focus on the road and avoid distractions, particularly while driving while using a cell phone or other electronic device.

Observation, he added, entails using all of one's senses to be aware, resulting in a complete approach to negotiating the difficulties of driving.

According to the instructor, anticipation is the foundation of defensive driving.

He noted that being prepared for probable road issues allows drivers to react quickly, reducing risks and ensuring safer travel.

Moving on to the third component of "COAT," Mr. Rogers encouraged drivers to be patient with other road users in order to build a peaceful and secure driving environment.

Mr Roger revealed this at the weekend's unveiling of the Freight Masters Driving and Business Institute's Tema branch.

According to him, defensive driving is a comprehensive strategy that includes protecting oneself, the vehicle, passengers, or cargo, as well as adhering to time commitments.

He went on to say that by adopting the "COAT" approach, drivers can actively contribute to making roads safer for everyone.

Mr. Richard Nana Amoako, CEO of Freight Master, expressed gratitude to the hard-working employees of both the shipping and driving schools, underlining the significance of their services.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by industry leaders, dignitaries, and other transportation stakeholders.
