‘Bawumia says he's going to digitize school feeding programme so they can sit in Accra and tell the quality of food’—Kwesi Pratt fumes

Editor-In-Chief for the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr, has expressed disgust at the quality of food served students under the School Feeding Programme.

The veteran Journalist described government's School Feeding Programme as a joke.

Speaking in reaction to a video on Metro TV Morning show on June 7 with host Randy Abbey, Kwesi Pratt sarcastically stated the Bawumia-led administration has decided to digitised everything including the school feeding programme.

Mr Pratt said instead of government finding a lasting solution to the situation the Vice President is busy thinking about digitilisation.

“So I don’t know why we should be worried about the School Feeding Program, the solution has been provided already, why you didn’t hear the Vice President, he is going to digitize the school feeding program, he said he is going to digitize it so they can sit in Accra and tell the quality of the food, the ingredient and so on, the Vice President found a solution long ago digitization, for every program there is digitized, so why are we worried about sitting here on a problem that has been solved already,” Kwesi Pratt Jnr stated.

He added that the kind of food served schoolchildren is heartbreaking.

“Look at this video, look at the video being played, this is the food the children are being served with, look at the soup, all of us, if our children were being served with this, will we be happy, would we like our children to eat this as soup that is being served, even prisoners won’t eat like this and then you have a situation where these caterers are being given ninety-seven pesewas per child, ninety-seven pesewas, what do ninety seven pesewas buy today, so the whole program is a joke and instead of sitting down to address the program, how to find solutions to high dreaded problems in the School Feeding Program, our Vice President says he is going to digitize the whole thing, digitize that his solution, digitization,” Kwesi Pratt Jnr said.
