The Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry has an ultimate goal of linking businesses with the right resources, investment and support both locally and internationally.
With this mandate, the leadership of the Sekondi-Takoradi branch of the association led by the regional chairman, Sir Lord Segbeawu and Ms. Francisca Ansah, regional manager, paid a courtesy call on the District Chief Executive and the District Coordinating Director of the Mpohor District Assembly (MDA) to familiarize themselves with businesses in the district and also to encourage small and medium scale enterprises to grow and expand by sharing thriving business experiences in the region with startups in the district.
By this way, the association will mentor these businesses and also get them to go through proper documentation and formalization of their businesses. This will enable businesses to rise to the level where they can attract investors locally and internationally.
The delegation was also exposed to the investment opportunities in agric and its value chain in the District. A member of the delegation, the CEO of Dress Up College of Fashion offered 10 slots to the youth in fashion to join in a training to upgrade their skills. The CEO of My Dream Plus was also invited to speak to a group of young women.
