C/R: Joseph Yamin escapes an attack from NDC youth after campaigning for Prof. Klutse

National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Yamin has been chased by some youth of the party in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese Constituency of the Central Region.

In an incident that happened at Moree on Thursday, the National Organiser was attacked by angry youth and nearly stoned.

The incident happened after Joseph Yamin campaigned for Prof. Nana Ama Brawn Klutse, an aspiring parliamentary candidate for Abura Asebu Kwamankese Constituency.

After visiting the Constituency with the candidate, the NDC National Organiser is reported to have informed delegates that John Dramani Mahama has declared the disqualification of Felix Ofosu Kwakye so they should vote for Prof. Klutse instead.

This did not go down well with the youth with many arguing that if that is true, they expect the former President to inform them himself.

While Joseph Yamin safely escaped untouched, a pickup and other vehicles being used by Prof. Nana Ama Brawn Klutse for her campaign were damaged.

The youth are of the view that Joseph Yamin and all other officials of the NDC must desist from campaigning for any candidate in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese Constituency.

The attackers are suspected to be supporters of Felix Kwakye Ofosu.

The matter has been reported to the Police for investigation.
